The well-water side is what makes Cross Roads calls different. Sediment from a well clogs washer inlet screens, slows ice makers and fouls water valves much faster than treated city water does. Half the washer calls I get here are a fill problem, and half of those are just a screen packed with grit.

- Older properties on Naylor Road, Fishtrap Road and the county roads off FM 424. Washer inlet screens, ice maker filters and water valves fouled by well sediment, and second refrigerators in barns and shops.
- The Village at Cross Roads and newer subdivisions
- Production homes from the 2010s on Mustang SUD water. Standard Samsung, Whirlpool and GE packages coming out of their first decade.
- The 380 commercial strip
- I mostly do residential, but I get called to the homes behind the businesses on 380 and know the roads.
- Garage freezers in the heat
- Rural properties around here almost always have an extra freezer or fridge somewhere hot. Those are the units that fail in August.

- About 12 minutes east on 380 from Little Elm. I'm through Cross Roads regularly, so same-day is often possible.
- Do you come out to properties off the county roads?

- Is a garage freezer worth fixing?
- Often. A garage freezer that quit in summer is usually a relay, a fan or dirty coils, all cheap compared to a new unit. I'll tell you if the compressor is gone.
