I also install dishwashers, and I fix the ones that were installed badly. A dishwasher that leaks at the door or drips under the sink is often an install problem, not a dishwasher problem.

Questions I get asked
- There's water sitting in the bottom of my dishwasher. What do I check first?
- Clean the filter in the bottom of the tub. If that doesn't do it, the drain pump or hose is the next suspect. If the dishwasher is new and has never drained, the knockout plug in the disposal is probably still in place.
- Why do my dishes come out with a white film?
- Hard water. Little Elm's water is moderately hard and Frisco's is harder, and the residue is mineral scale. A rinse aid helps, and periodic descaling keeps the spray arms and element clean.
- Can you install a dishwasher I bought at the store?
- Yes. Installations need half the install fee upfront to hold the slot. I'll pull the old one, set the new one, and make sure the drain is looped properly so it doesn't back up.
- My Bosch says E24. Do I need a repair?
- Often not. E24 is a drain warning and it's usually a blocked filter or a kinked hose. Try cleaning the filter first. If it comes back, call me and I'll check the pump.
